A computer game in the action-adventure genre with elements of racing and role-playing, developed by the Russian studio K-D Lab and released in 1998. The plot unfolds in the universe of the Lost Chain, where humanity, having discovered a method of creating Passages for interworld travel, encountered a highly developed race of crispoids. As a result of war and genetic experiments, hybrid life forms emerged, resembling social insects with remnants of human consciousness. The player controls a Vanger — a being acting as a biker, traveler, and trader — exploring three main worlds: Fostral, inhabited by eleepods; Glorx, home to biburats; and Necross, domain of the cyx. Gameplay includes exploration, trading, combat, and quest completion, offering multiple paths and endings based on player choices. Role-playing elements are represented by Luck and Dominance parameters, affecting interactions with the environment. The game utilizes the Surmap A-R-T engine based on voxel technology, enabling real-time modifiable landscapes with a physical model of object interaction. In 2014, a re-release was issued for modern operating systems, and in 2016, the source code was opened under the GPLv3 license.
