Walk the Line

The 2005 American biographical drama directed by James Mangold is based on Johnny Cash's autobiographies "Man in Black" and "Cash: The Autobiography." The film chronicles the life of legendary country musician Johnny Cash (Joaquin Phoenix), starting from his childhood on a cotton farm in Arkansas, where he endures the loss of his brother and a strained relationship with his father, Ray Cash (Robert Patrick). The story culminates in his famous concert at Folsom Prison, after which he proposes to June on stage.
