XCOM 2

A turn-based tactical strategy game with base management elements, developed by Firaxis Games as the direct sequel to XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Set 20 years after humanity’s defeat in the war against aliens, Earth is now controlled by the puppet government ADVENT. The player leads the remnants of the XCOM resistance, engaging in guerrilla warfare against the invaders. Gameplay combines managing the mobile base "Avenger," where technologies are researched and missions planned, with tactical turn-based combat that emphasizes stealth, procedurally generated maps, and soldier customization. The game received critical acclaim for its strategic depth, difficulty, and replayability. In 2017, the War of the Chosen expansion was released, adding new mechanics and story elements.
