The 2018 American biographical crime comedy-drama directed by Spike Lee is based on Ron Stallworth's 2014 memoir "Black Klansman." Set in the 1970s in Colorado Springs, the story follows Ron Stallworth (John David Washington), the first African-American detective in the local police department. Eager to prove himself, he initiates a risky operation to infiltrate the local Ku Klux Klan chapter. Communicating via phone, he establishes contact with Klan members, while his white Jewish colleague, Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver), impersonates him in face-to-face meetings.
