Horrible Bosses 2

The 2014 American crime comedy film directed by Sean Anders serves as a sequel to the 2011 film "Horrible Bosses." The story follows three friends—Nick Hendricks (Jason Bateman), Dale Arbus (Charlie Day), and Kurt Buckman (Jason Sudeikis)—who, tired of answering to superiors, decide to launch their own business by creating an innovative product called the "Shower Buddy." Their invention attracts the interest of businessman Bert Hanson (Christoph Waltz) and his son Rex (Chris Pine), who agree to invest. However, after placing a large order, the Hansons cancel it, steal the idea, and leave the trio on the brink of bankruptcy. With no legal recourse, Nick, Dale, and Kurt plan to kidnap Rex for ransom to recoup their losses. The plan spirals out of control when Rex reveals he wants to stage his own kidnapping to get back at his father. Complications arise with the involvement of former bosses: Julia Harris (Jennifer Aniston), who continues to harass Dale, and Dave Harken (Kevin Spacey), who, despite being in prison, still exerts influence. Dean "Motherfucker" Jones (Jamie Foxx) also returns to assist in their scheme. The film is filled with absurd situations, dark humor, and satire on the corporate world, exploring themes of friendship, ambition, and the consequences of rash decisions. Despite its star-studded cast and commercial success, grossing $107.7 million against a $42 million budget, the film received mixed reviews from critics, falling short of the original in terms of humor freshness and plot originality.
