Crank: High Voltage

The 2009 American action film, directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, continues the story of hitman Chev Chelios (Jason Statham). Immediately following the events of the first film, Chev survives a fall from a helicopter but is abducted by Chinese gangsters. They extract his heart and replace it with an artificial device that requires regular electrical charges to keep him alive. Chev awakens to find his real heart has been stolen for aging crime boss Poon Dong (David Carradine). Determined to retrieve his heart and exact revenge, Chev embarks on a frantic chase across Los Angeles. Along the way, he confronts various gangs, including Mexican mobsters led by El Huron (Clifton Collins Jr.), and reunites with his girlfriend Eve (Amy Smart), who now works as a stripper. To survive, Chev must continually recharge his artificial heart using any available electrical sources, leading to numerous extreme and hazardous situations. The film is packed with high-octane scenes, dark humor, and unconventional scenarios, highlighting the protagonist's struggle to survive in absurd and deadly circumstances.
