Deadpool

A 2016 American superhero action film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, directed by Tim Miller. The story follows former mercenary Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), who, after being diagnosed with cancer, agrees to undergo experimental treatment in a secret organization. Subjected to torturous experiments, he develops a powerful healing factor but is left horribly disfigured. Adopting the alias Deadpool, he sets out to find the man responsible for his transformation — a scientist named Ajax (Ed Skrein), who promised to cure him but betrayed him. Along the way, Deadpool is aided by the mutant members of the X-Men — Colossus (Stefan Kapičić) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) — and his love interest Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), who is kidnapped by the villain. The film stands out from traditional superhero movies with its self-aware humor, dark comedy, fourth-wall-breaking moments, and intense action sequences.
