Dr. No

The 1962 British spy film directed by Terence Young marks the inaugural cinematic adaptation of Ian Fleming's James Bond novels, launching one of the most successful franchises in film history. The story follows MI6 special agent James Bond (Sean Connery) as he travels to Jamaica to investigate the disappearance of British agent John Strangways. During his investigation, Bond uncovers a plot by the enigmatic Dr. Julius No (Joseph Wiseman), a scientist with metal prosthetic hands, who intends to disrupt an American space launch using a radio beam weapon. On Crab Key island, where Dr. No's base is located, Bond encounters Honey Ryder (Ursula Andress), a shell collector, and together they infiltrate the villain's lair.
