Due Date

A 2010 American black comedy road film directed by Todd Phillips, with a screenplay by Alan R. Cohen, Alan Freedland, Adam Sztykiel, and Phillips himself. The film follows Peter Highman (Robert Downey Jr.), a successful architect rushing from Atlanta to Los Angeles to be present for the birth of his first child. After a chance encounter with aspiring actor Ethan Tremblay (Zach Galifianakis), both are removed from their flight, forcing Peter to embark on a cross-country road trip with Ethan and his French bulldog. Along the way, they encounter numerous comedic and tense situations: they are arrested for marijuana possession, get into a car accident, and meet Peter's old friend, Darryl (Jamie Foxx), who offers them temporary shelter. Despite initial animosity, Peter and Ethan gradually come to understand and appreciate each other, leading to an unexpected friendship.
