End of Days

A 1999 American supernatural action film directed by Peter Hyams follows former New York City police detective Jericho Cane (Arnold Schwarzenegger), who, after the tragic death of his wife and daughter, becomes an alcoholic working as a security guard. On the eve of the new millennium, he saves a banker (Gabriel Byrne) from an assassination attempt, unaware that the man is possessed by Satan, who has come to New York to find a woman named Christine York (Robin Tunney) chosen to conceive the Antichrist. Jericho becomes embroiled in an apocalyptic battle between good and evil, striving to protect Christine from demonic forces and prevent the end of the world. Along the way, he confronts betrayal, religious prophecies, and his own inner demons, ultimately finding redemption through self-sacrifice.
