Fallen Angels​

The 1993 American neo-noir anthology television series, created by Steve Golin and William Horberg, aired on Showtime from 1993 to 1995. Set in a somber post-World War II Los Angeles, prior to John F. Kennedy's presidency, each of the 15 episodes is based on works by renowned crime writers such as Raymond Chandler, James Ellroy, Cornell Woolrich, Jim Thompson, and Dashiell Hammett. Episodes were directed by notable filmmakers including Tom Hanks, Steven Soderbergh, Alfonso Cuarón, Tom Cruise, and Kiefer Sutherland. The cast featured actors like Gary Oldman, Laura Dern, Bill Pullman, Danny Glover, Eric Stoltz, Brendan Fraser, and Mädchen Amick. The series emulated classic noir aesthetics, incorporating signature visual styles and musical elements, including songs by Patti Page and Billie Holiday.
