Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

This 2024 American science fiction action film directed by Adam Wingard is the fifth installment in Legendary Pictures’ MonsterVerse and a direct sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong (2021). Set after the uneasy balance between humanity and Titans has been restored, the story follows Kong as he explores the Hollow Earth and discovers remnants of an ancient civilization, as well as a terrifying new threat — a powerful Titan called the Skar King, who seeks to dominate both the subterranean and surface worlds. Meanwhile, on Earth, Godzilla detects the rise of anomalous energy and instinctively responds to reestablish balance. Scientists including Dr. Ilene Andrews (Rebecca Hall), Nick Chen (Dan Stevens), and Jia (Kaylee Hottle) investigate clues left behind by ancient Titan wars. As the threat grows, it becomes evident that only the combined strength of the two apex Titans, Godzilla and Kong, can stand against the Skar King and prevent his destructive empire from rising. The climax culminates in an epic battle deep within the Hollow Earth, where Godzilla and Kong unite in a display of raw power and mutual respect, defending both humankind and the natural world from a long-buried menace.
