Gran Turismo HD

A technical demonstration of the PlayStation 3’s capabilities, developed by Polyphony Digital and released in 2006 in a limited format. The game featured enhanced graphics running at 1080p and 60 frames per second, marking a significant improvement over previous entries in the series. Gran Turismo HD was initially conceived as a full-fledged project but was later canceled, with its development elements integrated into Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. The final version of the game included two modes: "GTHD Classic," an upgraded version of Gran Turismo 4 in high resolution, and "GTHD Premium," showcasing a new physics model and enhanced car textures. Despite its limited content, the project received positive feedback for its graphical execution and realistic handling, but it was soon removed from the PlayStation Store to make way for the full development of Gran Turismo 5.
