A 2011 Canadian-American exploitation action film with elements of black comedy, directed by Jason Eisener and written by John Davies, based on the eponymous fake trailer from the "Grindhouse" (2007) project. The film follows an unnamed hobo (Rutger Hauer) who arrives in the city of Hope Town, plagued by violence and corruption under the rule of crime lord The Drake and his sadistic sons Ivan and Slick. Aspiring to save money for a lawnmower to start an honest life, the hobo witnesses the brutality and lawlessness prevailing in the city. After rescuing prostitute Abby (Molly Dunsworth) from Slick's assault and encountering corrupt police, the hobo decides to take justice into his own hands. Armed with a shotgun, he begins to cleanse the city of criminals, including pimps, drug dealers, and pedophiles. In retaliation, The Drake hires a mysterious pair of assassins known as "The Plague" to eliminate the hobo. In the film's climax, Abby, despite severe injuries, joins the fight, and together with the hobo, they confront The Drake and his henchmen. The film is noted for its 1980s-style aesthetics, excessive violence, and satirical portrayal of social injustice and corruption.
