Colombian singer and songwriter, born on January 28, 1994, in Medellín, Colombia. Initially passionate about football, he played in youth teams of Atlético Nacional and La Equidad before shifting focus to music during his teenage years. In 2010, he began his music career with the release of his first single "Farandulera," which became a local hit and attracted the attention of Sony Music Colombia. He released his debut album "Magia" in 2012, followed by "Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy" in 2015, which brought him international fame with hits like "Borró Cassette," "El Perdedor," and "Sin Contrato." In 2018, he released "F.A.M.E.," which won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album. His 2019 album "11:11" and 2020's "Papi Juancho," featuring the hit "Hawái," which reached number three on the Billboard Global 200 and was remixed with The Weeknd, further solidified his global presence. In 2021, he released the EP "7 Días en Jamaica," followed by "The Love & Sex Tape" in 2022. In 2024, he collaborated with Blessd on the EP "1 of 1." In 2025, he announced the "+Pretty +Dirty World Tour," starting in Barcelona. Maluma has collaborated with artists like Shakira ("Chantaje"), Madonna ("Medellín"), Karol G ("Créeme"), Becky G, and Anitta ("Mala Mía" remix). He has received over 70 awards, including a Latin Grammy, an MTV Video Music Award, three MTV Europe Music Awards, and two Latin American Music Awards, and has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album.
