A 2017 American biographical political thriller directed by Peter Landesman, based on the autobiography of FBI agent Mark Felt, co-written with John O'Connor. The film depicts how Felt became the anonymous source nicknamed "Deep Throat" for reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein, assisting them in their investigation of the Watergate scandal, which led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon. Liam Neeson stars in the title role, with supporting performances by Diane Lane, Tony Goldwyn, and Maika Monroe. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2017, and was released theatrically on September 29, 2017.
