Peter Landesman directed this 2017 American biographical political thriller, built on the autobiography that FBI agent Mark Felt wrote with John O'Connor. On screen, Felt is the anonymous source known as "Deep Throat," helping the reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein dig into the Watergate scandal, and that investigation ended with President Richard Nixon resigning. Liam Neeson stars in the title role, with supporting performances by Diane Lane, Tony Goldwyn, and Maika Monroe. The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8, 2017, and was released theatrically on September 29, 2017.
