Maudie

A 2016 Canadian-Irish biographical drama directed by Aisling Walsh. The film portrays the life of folk artist Maud Lewis (Sally Hawkins), who suffers from severe rheumatoid arthritis and lives in Nova Scotia during the 1930s. After her brother sells their family home, Maud becomes a housekeeper for the reclusive and gruff fish peddler Everett Lewis (Ethan Hawke).
