Michael Jackson

American singer, songwriter, dancer, and producer, born on August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana, into a large family. Began his musical career at the age of five as a member of the family group The Jackson 5, quickly becoming the lead vocalist. The group achieved success with hits like "I Want You Back" and "ABC" after signing with Motown Records. In 1971, he launched a solo career, releasing albums such as "Off the Wall" (1979), "Thriller" (1982), "Bad" (1987), "Dangerous" (1991), and "HIStory" (1995). The album "Thriller" became the best-selling album in history, with over 65 million copies sold and earning seven Grammy Awards. Known for his innovative music videos, including "Thriller," "Beat It," and "Billie Jean," as well as unique dance moves like the "moonwalk." Throughout his career, he received 13 Grammy Awards, 26 American Music Awards, and numerous other accolades. In 1992, he founded the Heal the World Foundation, donating approximately $500 million to charity. He died on June 25, 2009, in Los Angeles from a propofol overdose, triggering global mourning and a surge in music sales.
