Sausage Party

A 2016 American adult animated comedy film directed by Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon. The story centers on food products in the "Shopwell's" supermarket who believe humans are gods selecting them to go to the "Great Beyond." The protagonist, a sausage named Frank (voiced by Seth Rogen), dreams of being chosen alongside his girlfriend, a bun named Brenda (Kristen Wiig), so they can be together. However, after a cart accident, Frank, Brenda, and several other items find themselves out of their packages. Frank begins to explore the nature of their existence and discovers the horrifying truth: the "Great Beyond" is a place where food is destroyed by humans. Confronted with this reality, Frank aims to warn the others and organize a rebellion against humans. The film is filled with sharp humor, satire on religious and social themes, and numerous pop culture references. The voice cast includes Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton, and Salma Hayek.
