A 2013 American action comedy film directed by Baltasar Kormákur, based on the comic book series of the same name by Steven Grant and Mateus Santolouco, published in 2007 by Boom! Studios. The film follows two criminals, Robert "Bobby" Trench (Denzel Washington) and Michael "Stig" Stigman (Mark Wahlberg), who are unaware that both are undercover agents: Bobby works for the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Stig is with the U.S. Naval Intelligence (NCIS). They team up to rob a bank in a small town, aiming to steal money from a Mexican drug cartel, but discover they've stolen a much larger sum—$43.125 million belonging to the CIA. After the heist, their superiors disavow their actions, leaving them without support. Bobby and Stig are forced to flee from CIA agents, corrupt military personnel, and drug lord Papi Greco (Edward James Olmos). As events unfold, they uncover corruption schemes and learn to trust each other despite initial distrust. The film received positive reviews from critics for its dynamic plot and the chemistry between the lead actors.
