A 2017 South Korean action comedy film directed by Jason Kim tells the story of two students from the Korean National Police University — Park Ki-joon (Park Seo-joon) and Kang Hee-yeol (Kang Ha-neul). Ki-joon is an impulsive and energetic young man prone to taking risks, while Hee-yeol is his complete opposite, more thoughtful and cautious. One night, while out in the Gangnam district after a party, they witness the kidnapping of a young woman. Reporting it to the police, they discover that the case is not receiving proper attention due to the priority of another investigation — the kidnapping of a business mogul's grandson. Realizing that time is against the victim, Ki-joon and Hee-yeol decide to investigate the case themselves. During their unofficial investigation, they find out that the kidnappers are involved in illegal egg harvesting and are holding several women captive. Their attempt to rescue them ends in failure: the friends are captured and locked up. They manage to escape but face a warning from Professor Yang Sung-il (Sung Dong-il) about possible expulsion for their unauthorized actions. Despite this, Ki-joon and Hee-yeol continue the investigation, find clues leading to a fertility clinic, and after intensive preparation, raid the clinic, freeing the hostages and apprehending the criminals. Calling the police, they realize that their actions may lead to expulsion, but the disciplinary committee decides to keep them in the university with the punishment of an additional year of study and 500 hours of community service. The film received positive reviews and grossed significant box office, becoming one of the successful South Korean films of 2017.
