A 2013 American action comedy film and sequel to the 2010 film "RED". Based on the limited comic book series of the same name, created by Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner, and published by DC Comics. The film is directed by Dean Parisot with a screenplay by Jon and Erich Hoeber. It stars Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Lee Byung-hun, Anthony Hopkins, and Helen Mirren. The plot follows former CIA operative Frank Moses (Bruce Willis) as he attempts to lead a quiet life with his girlfriend Sarah Ross (Mary-Louise Parker). However, his former partner Marvin Boggs (John Malkovich) warns him of a new threat linked to a Cold War operation codenamed "Nightshade". After an attempt on Marvin's life, Frank is forced to reunite the team, including sharpshooter Victoria Winslow (Helen Mirren), to locate the missing scientist Edward Bailey (Anthony Hopkins), who developed a nuclear device. Along the way, they encounter Frank's former flame, Russian agent Katja Petrokovich (Catherine Zeta-Jones), and contract killer Han Cho-Bai (Lee Byung-hun), who has a personal vendetta against Frank. Traveling through Paris, London, and Moscow, the team strives to prevent the weapon from falling into terrorist hands, facing betrayals, complex relationships, and perilous situations. The film combines dynamic action sequences, humor, and an intriguing plot, delving into new facets of the characters and their relationships.
