A 1960 crime drama directed by François Truffaut, based on David Goodis’s novel Down There. The protagonist, a former renowned pianist Édouard Saroyan (Charles Aznavour / Vsevolod Abdulov), abandons his career after a personal tragedy and now plays in a small bar under the name Charlie Kohler.
