Space Cowboys

The 2000 American adventure drama film directed and produced by Clint Eastwood follows four former U.S. Air Force test pilots—Frank Corvin (Clint Eastwood), William "Hawk" Hawkins (Tommy Lee Jones), Jerry O'Neill (Donald Sutherland), and Tank Sullivan (James Garner)—who were part of Project Daedalus in 1958 but were sidelined in favor of a chimpanzee for NASA's space program. Since the satellite's guidance system was designed by Corvin, NASA seeks his assistance. Corvin agrees, insisting that his old teammates join the mission. After passing medical and training tests, the team embarks on a space mission to repair the satellite. During the mission, they discover that "Ikon" houses nuclear missiles from the Cold War era, posing a significant threat. Hawk, suffering from a terminal illness, chooses to sacrifice himself by guiding the satellite to a safe orbit, averting disaster. The film blends elements of drama, comedy, and science fiction, exploring themes of friendship, heroism, and second chances.
