Starship Troopers: Traitor of Mars

A 2017 American computer-animated military science fiction film directed by Shinji Aramaki and Masaru Matsumoto, it is the fifth installment in the "Starship Troopers" series and a direct sequel to the animated film "Invasion." The plot unfolds eleven years into the "Second Bug War," where General Johnny Rico (Casper Van Dien), demoted to Colonel, is assigned to a Martian orbital station to train new Mobile Infantry recruits. Utilizing his psychic abilities, Jenkins aids Rico by manifesting the image of his deceased lover, Dizzy Flores (Dina Meyer), to boost his morale. Rico and his team make desperate efforts to prevent Mars's destruction, defusing the planet-destroying bomb and exposing Snapp's plans live, leading to her arrest. The film explores themes of betrayal, political intrigue, and heroism amid interplanetary warfare, blending action and science fiction elements.
