An American teen sitcom that Fox carried for eight years, from August 23, 1998 until May 18, 2006. Six teenage friends grow up together in Point Place, Wisconsin — a town that exists only on television — across the years 1976 to 1979. The main characters include Eric Forman (Topher Grace), a witty and sarcastic young man living with his parents, Red (Kurtwood Smith) and Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp); Donna Pinciotti (Laura Prepon), a feminist and Eric's neighbor, with whom he shares a romantic relationship; Steven Hyde (Danny Masterson), a rebellious friend of Eric who is later adopted by the Forman family; Michael Kelso (Ashton Kutcher), a handsome but dim-witted guy; Jackie Burkhart (Mila Kunis), a spoiled and wealthy girl who initially dates Kelso and later Hyde; and Fez (Wilmer Valderrama), a foreign exchange student with a mysterious background. The series explores themes of teenage love, friendship, family dynamics, and social issues of the 1970s, including sexual attitudes, drug use, and distrust of the government. The show also features supporting characters such as Bob Pinciotti (Don Stark), Donna's father, and Laurie Forman (Lisa Robin Kelly), Eric's older sister. The series was praised for its humor and accurate portrayal of 1970s culture, becoming a cult favorite among audiences.
