The Batman

A 2022 American superhero film directed by Matt Reeves, serving as a reboot of the Batman film series. The plot follows Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson) in his second year fighting crime as Batman, as he encounters the serial killer known as the Riddler (Paul Dano). The Riddler murders high-profile Gotham officials, leaving cryptic messages for Batman. During the investigation, Batman uncovers widespread corruption in the city linked to his own family. He is assisted by Selina Kyle (Zoë Kravitz), known as Catwoman, Lieutenant James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright), and Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis). Confrontations with crime figures like Carmine Falcone (John Turturro) and Oswald Cobblepot, nicknamed the Penguin (Colin Farrell), lead to a massive flooding of Gotham orchestrated by the Riddler. Batman realizes the need not only to instill fear in the hearts of criminals but also to serve as a symbol of hope for the city's residents.
