The 2006 American crime thriller directed by Bruce Beresford follows former cop and widower Ray Keene (John Cusack) as he attempts to reconnect with his son Chris (Jamie Anderson) during a hiking trip. Their journey intersects with professional assassin Frank Carden (Morgan Freeman), who, after being arrested, is ambushed by his associates aiming to free him. Following the deaths of federal marshals, Ray is compelled to take responsibility for delivering Carden to the authorities. As Carden's mercenaries pursue them, Ray and Chris face numerous dangers, including the loss of innocent lives.
