The Gift

A 2000 American supernatural thriller directed by Sam Raimi. The story revolves around Annie Wilson (Cate Blanchett), a young woman gifted with clairvoyance, which she uses to help the residents of a small Southern town in Georgia. Jessica’s desperate father turns to Annie for help, and her visions lead to the discovery of Jessica’s body in a pond on Donnie’s property. Donnie is arrested, but Annie continues to have disturbing visions, hinting that the true murderer is still at large. Following her psychic clues, she uncovers the shocking truth — the real killer is Wayne Collins, who murdered Jessica out of jealousy over her infidelity. Annie soon finds herself in danger, but she manages to expose the real culprit.
