A 2006 American action film directed by Sheldon Lettich. Phillip Sauvage (Jean-Claude Van Damme) is a former American soldier suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder following his service in Iraq and Afghanistan. After treatment in a veterans' hospital, he is approached by his former commander, Clarence Bowden (Julian D. Christopher), to join him as a bodyguard for renowned former boxing champion turned successful businessman and community leader Wayne Barclay (Raz Adoti). The release from prison of notorious rap mogul Terrell Singletery (Viv Leacock), who previously had conflicts with Barclay, raises concerns for Wayne's sister, Tamara (Vivica A. Fox), prompting her to enhance his security. During their initial security assignment outside a club, an attack orchestrated by Terrell's men targets Barclay. In the ensuing shootout, Bowden is killed, and Sauvage is arrested for possession of an automatic weapon. After posting his bail, Tamara invites Sauvage to stay in Barclay's guest house and appoints him as head of security. Sauvage insists on bringing in seasoned colleagues for the security detail, but Barclay demands that he train members of his boxing gym. Sauvage enlists Sergeant Casey Bledsoe (Mark Griffin) to assist in training the recruits. A romantic tension develops between Sauvage and Tamara, causing strain in his relationship with Wayne. The situation escalates when a betrayal within the team leads to the kidnapping of Tamara and her daughter Jessica (Adrian Holmes) by Terrell's men. Sauvage and Bledsoe orchestrate a rescue mission, infiltrating the enemy's stronghold, neutralizing the guards, and freeing the hostages. In the climactic confrontation, Sauvage defeats Terrell, ensuring the safety of the Barclay family and restoring order. The film delves into themes of loyalty, honor, and the struggle with inner demons amidst intense action sequences and personal conflicts.
