The Meatrix II: Revolting

"The Meatrix II: Revolting" is the sequel to the animated short film "The Meatrix," produced by Free Range Studios in 2006. The film continues its satirical parody of the iconic science fiction franchise "The Matrix," highlighting issues related to factory farming and its impact on the environment and human health. The main characters—Leo the pig, Moopheus the bull, and Chickity the chicken—persist in their fight against "The Meatrix," a system that conceals the harsh realities of industrial agriculture. In this installment, they confront new challenges, uncovering truths about environmental pollution, the risks of mad cow disease, and the use of hormones in the dairy industry. The film has been recognized for its effective use of humor and parody to draw attention to significant social and environmental issues, earning several awards, including a Webby Award in 2005 and the Holland Animation Film Festival award in 2004. ​
