The Proposal

A 2009 American romantic comedy directed by Anne Fletcher and written by Peter Chiarelli. The film follows Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock), a successful but tyrannical editor at a New York publishing house, who faces deportation to Canada due to an expired visa. To retain her position, she convinces her assistant, Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds), to enter into a sham marriage with her.
