The Wheel of Time

An American fantasy television series from 2021, developed by Rafe Judkins and based on the eponymous novel series by Robert Jordan, completed by Brandon Sanderson. The narrative follows Moiraine Damodred (Rosamund Pike), a member of the powerful female organization Aes Sedai, who arrives in the village of Emond's Field seeking the Dragon Reborn — an individual prophesied to either save or destroy the world. She guides five young villagers: Rand al'Thor (Josha Stradowski), Egwene al'Vere (Madeleine Madden), Nynaeve al'Meara (Zoë Robins), Perrin Aybara (Marcus Rutherford), and Mat Cauthon (Barney Harris in season one, Dónal Finn in subsequent seasons), any of whom could be the prophesied one. As the story unfolds, the characters face various challenges, including attacks by Trollocs, the machinations of the Whitecloaks, and internal struggles, exploring themes of destiny, power, and self-discovery. The series has been acclaimed for its expansive world-building, diverse character representation, and has been renewed for multiple seasons.
