An American rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer, born on April 30, 1991, in Houston, Texas, and raised in the suburb of Missouri City. He began his music career in 2008, forming the duo The Graduates with Chris Holloway and releasing an EP in 2009. In 2010, he created the duo The Classmates with OG Chess, producing two projects before disbanding in 2011. In 2012, he signed with GOOD Music and Epic Records. His debut mixtape "Owl Pharaoh" was released in 2013, followed by "Days Before Rodeo" in 2014, which became a breakthrough and was re-released in 2024, becoming the highest-selling mixtape in history. His debut album "Rodeo" (2015) featured the hit "Antidote" and established his style blending trap, psychedelic hip-hop, and atmospheric beats. The second album "Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight" (2016) debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. In 2018, he released "Astroworld," critically acclaimed and featuring the hit "Sicko Mode." In 2023, he released "Utopia," debuting at number one on the Billboard 200, and launched the "Utopia – Circus Maximus" tour, performing in Rome alongside Kanye West. Beyond music, Scott founded Cactus Jack Records in 2017, signing artists like Don Toliver and Sheck Wes. He is also active in fashion, collaborating with Nike and Dior, and has been involved in gaming projects with Fortnite and PlayStation. In 2021, he made his film debut in "Gully" and signed a production deal with A24 for a film related to the "Utopia" album. His musical style is characterized by energetic performances, experimental sound, and visual aesthetics, making him one of the most influential artists of his generation.
