Act of Vengeance

A 1986 American biographical crime drama film directed by John Mackenzie. The plot is based on true events and Trevor Armbrister's book "Act of Vengeance," depicting the corruption during the United Mine Workers' 1969 presidential elections and the subsequent murder of Joseph "Jock" Yablonski. The protagonist, Joseph "Jock" Yablonski (Charles Bronson), is an honest and principled union leader who challenges the corrupt incumbent president, Tony Boyle (Wilford Brimley).
