Centaur

A 2023 Russian thriller directed by Kirill Kemnits. The plot centers on a young Moscow taxi driver, Sasha (Yuri Borisov), who prefers working at night, believing that people are less likely to pretend under the cover of darkness. One night, he picks up Liza (Anastasia Talyzina), an escort service worker, who asks him to drive her to several addresses. Sasha agrees, and they embark on a journey through the nocturnal streets of Moscow. During their ride, Liza discovers a blood-stained mobile phone in the car, raising her suspicions. It soon becomes apparent that Sasha is the prime suspect in a series of murders of escort girls, and Liza finds herself entangled in a dangerous game, forced to cooperate with individuals aiming to expose Sasha to avoid her own legal troubles. As events unfold, Liza oscillates between fear and trust towards Sasha, trying to discern whether he is a cold-blooded killer or a victim of circumstance.
