Critters

A 1986 American science fiction comedy horror film directed by Stephen Herek in his directorial debut. The film follows a group of small, furry aliens known as Critters, who possess an insatiable appetite and aggressive behavior. These creatures escape from an intergalactic prison and head to Earth, landing in a small Kansas town. There, they begin terrorizing the Brown family: father Jay (Billy Green Bush), mother Helen (Dee Wallace), daughter April (Nadine van der Velde), and son Brad (Scott Grimes). The Critters have the ability to reproduce rapidly and cause chaos by devouring everything in their path. One of the hunters assumes the form of rock star Johnny Steele (Terrence Mann), while the other, initially undecided on a form, later takes on the appearance of local drunk Charlie McFadden (Don Opper). The hunters team up with the Brown family and Charlie to confront the threat and save the town from the Critters' invasion.
