Eraser

A 1996 American action film directed by Chuck Russell follows John Kruger (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a U.S. Marshal working for the Witness Security Protection Program (WITSEC), who specializes in "erasing" the identities of high-profile witnesses. His latest assignment is to protect Lee Cullen (Vanessa Williams), an employee at defense contractor Cyrez, who has discovered that the company is developing electromagnetic railguns intended for illegal sale on the black market. After Lee hands over evidence to the FBI, her life is endangered. Kruger rescues her from mercenaries and soon uncovers that there's a mole within WITSEC leaking information to criminals. His mentor, Robert DeGuerin (James Caan), is revealed to be part of the conspiracy and attempts to eliminate Kruger. Following a series of chases, including a scene in the New York City Zoo involving alligators, Kruger and Lee infiltrate Cyrez headquarters to obtain proof. In the climax, faking his own death, Kruger sets a trap for DeGuerin and his accomplices, killing them with an oncoming train. The film concludes with Kruger and Lee embarking on a new life together.​
