Fort Boyard

A French adventure television show that first aired on July 7, 1990, on the Antenne 2 channel, set in the eponymous sea fort located in the Bay of Biscay off the coast of Charente-Maritime; teams composed of celebrities and athletes undertake a series of physical and intellectual challenges to collect keys and clues necessary to open the treasure room containing gold, with the show being renowned for its unique characters such as Père Fouras, Passe-Partout, and La Boule, as well as its mysterious and suspenseful atmosphere, which has made it popular not only in France but also in many other countries, including Russia, where since 1998 a localized adaptation featuring Russian celebrities was produced, with hosts over the years including Leonid Parfyonov, Elena Hanga, Sergey Brilyov, Yana Batyrshina, Leonid Yarmolnik, Oksana Fedorova, Nikolai Valuev, Anna Ardova, Sergey Shnurov, and Sergey Burunov; the Russian version was broadcast on NTV, Russia, Channel One, and STS, totaling 8 seasons and 84 episodes, with the last airing in 2021, and all versions of the show were filmed in the original French fort, adding authenticity and uniqueness to the program.
