Futurama: Bender's Game

A 2008 American animated science fiction comedy film directed by Dwayne Carey-Hill, it is the third of four "Futurama" films that constitute the show's fifth season. The film begins with Bender (voiced by John DiMaggio) discovering Cubert (Kath Soucie) and Dwight (Phil LaMarr) playing "Dungeons & Dragons." As a robot lacking imagination, Bender cannot join the game. However, he soon imagines himself as a knight named Titanius Anglesmith and becomes immersed in a fantasy world, leading to his commitment to an asylum for insane robots. Meanwhile, the Planet Express crew learns that Mom (Tress MacNeille) controls the world's only dark matter mine and is artificially limiting its supply to increase profits. Professor Farnsworth (Billy West) reveals that he once worked for Mom and discovered a method to convert dark matter into fuel, creating two crystals. One remained with Mom, while the other, an "anti-backwards" crystal, was hidden by the professor. If these crystals are combined, dark matter would become useless as fuel. The crew embarks on a quest to find the crystal, facing various obstacles and entering an alternate reality—a fantasy world called Cornwood—where they transform into fantasy characters: Leela (Katey Sagal) becomes a one-eyed centaur, Fry (Billy West) a fry-mage, and Bender a knight named Titanius Anglesmith. Together, they battle the tyranny of Mom and her sons, aiming to destroy the crystal and save both worlds from her dominion.
