Hellboy

A 2019 American superhero film based on the Dark Horse Comics character Hellboy, created by Mike Mignola. Serving as a reboot of the Hellboy film series and the third live-action entry in the franchise, it is directed by Neil Marshall and stars David Harbour in the title role. The film also features Milla Jovovich, Ian McShane, Sasha Lane, Daniel Dae Kim, and Thomas Haden Church. Drawing inspiration from the comic books "Darkness Calls," "The Wild Hunt," "The Storm and the Fury," and "Hellboy in Mexico," the story follows Hellboy (David Harbour), a demon working for the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.), as he confronts an ancient sorceress named Nimue (Milla Jovovich), known as the Blood Queen, who seeks to annihilate humanity. Struggling with his own demonic origins and destiny, Hellboy teams up with his adoptive father, Professor Trevor Bruttenholm (Ian McShane), B.P.R.D. agent Alice Monaghan (Sasha Lane), who possesses psychic abilities, and Major Ben Daimio (Daniel Dae Kim), who can transform into a jaguar. Together, they confront Nimue and her forces to prevent the apocalypse. The film explores themes of fate, identity, and the battle between good and evil.
