Kinds of Kindness

"Kinds of Kindness" is an absurdist anthology film in the genre of black comedy, directed by Greek filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos in 2024. The film consists of three loosely connected novellas, each set in the contemporary United States. The first novella, "The Death of R.M.F.," tells the story of a man who dreams of taking control of his life and breaking free from his tyrannical boss. The second novella, "R.M.F. is Flying," centers on a police officer whose wife disappeared at sea years ago and then returned as a completely different person, leading him to suspect she is an impostor. The third story, "R.M.F. Eats a Sandwich," focuses on a pair of cultists obsessed with finding a girl capable of resurrecting the dead. The same actors play different roles in each novella, all connected by a mysterious character named R.M.F., who appears at the most unexpected moments.
