Russian heavy metal band formed on September 1, 2002, in Moscow by former members of the band Aria — vocalist Valery Kipelov, guitarist Sergey Terentyev, and drummer Alexander Maniakin, along with guitarist Sergey Mavrin and bassist Alexey Harkov. The band's name was chosen in honor of its frontman, ensuring quick recognition. In November 2002, Kipelov held a successful concert in Moscow, and in May 2003, the band performed outdoors in Tel Aviv and in Saint Petersburg. In October 2003, a concert was held at Moscow's Luzhniki Stadium, where the new composition "Babylon" was presented, becoming a hit. In 2005, the band released their debut album "Rivers of Time," receiving critical and audience acclaim. In 2006, a live album "Moscow '2005" followed, and in 2011, the studio album "Live Against All Odds" was released. In 2015, the band released the single "Unconquered," and in 2020, a live album with a symphony orchestra was released. Kipelov continues to actively tour and release new material, maintaining a high level of popularity and influence on the Russian rock scene.
