Once Upon a Time in Venice

A 2017 American crime comedy film directed by Mark Cullen in his directorial debut, co-written with his brother Robb Cullen. The story follows private detective Steve Ford (Bruce Willis), operating in Venice Beach, Los Angeles. His life takes an unexpected turn when his beloved dog, Buddy, is kidnapped by a gang led by Spyder (Jason Momoa). To retrieve his dog, Steve is compelled to undertake a series of tasks for Spyder, including delivering a mysterious package. Along the way, he encounters various characters: his best friend Dave Phillips (John Goodman), who is going through a divorce; his assistant John (Thomas Middleditch), aspiring to become a full-fledged detective; his sister Katey (Famke Janssen) and niece; as well as numerous colorful locals. The film blends elements of comedy and crime, depicting the protagonist's adventures as he attempts to reclaim his dog, facing dangers and absurd situations.
