Poyekhavshaya

A 2023 Russian comedy-drama road movie directed by Anton Maslov, based on the book "Why Stay at Home?" by cyclist Anna Smolina. Olga Lerman plays Anna Smolina, an ordinary woman who walks out of her daily routine and rides across Russia on a bicycle, her beloved dachshund Kapa along for the trip. The road leads to the town of Magadan and to her mother (Elena Yakovleva), after 13 years of estrangement that Anna wants to end. Along the way, she encounters new people, makes friends, and faces various challenges. By the end of her journey, Anna gains self-confidence and discovers love. The film also stars Viktor Khorinyak (Valera), Dmitry Chebotaryov (Roma), and Askar Ilyasov (Alisher). Released on March 8, 2023, the film topped the Russian box office in its first week, grossing 135.6 million rubles over the opening weekend.
