Risky Business

A 1983 American coming-of-age comedy film written and directed by Paul Brickman in his directorial debut. The story follows Joel Goodson (Tom Cruise), a 17-year-old high school student from a wealthy family who is left home alone when his parents go on vacation. Encouraged by his friend, Joel hires a call girl named Lana (Rebecca De Mornay). A series of unexpected events ensue, including damage to his father's Porsche and the theft of a family heirloom. To quickly raise money and rectify the situation, Joel turns his house into an impromptu brothel.
