Woodwalkers

A 2024 German young adult fantasy film directed by Damian John Harper, based on Katja Brandis's "Woodwalkers" book series. The story follows a boy shapeshifter named Carag, who can transform into a puma. Leaving his family in the Rocky Mountains, Carag decides to live among humans and joins a school for shapeshifters, where teenagers learn to exist in two worlds. There, he finds friends—Holly (a squirrel shapeshifter) and Brandon (a bison shapeshifter)—and confronts his former mentor, Andrew Milling, who becomes his arch-enemy. The film covers events from the first two books in the series, depicting Carag's journey of self-discovery and his battles against external threats.
