Stalker

A 1979 Soviet science fiction film directed by Andrei Tarkovsky, based on the novella Roadside Picnic by the Strugatsky brothers. Set in a near-future world, the story takes place within a mysterious Zone where strange phenomena occur, and it is believed there is a room that grants a person's deepest desires. The protagonist, the Stalker, guides two clients — the Writer and the Professor — through the Zone's dangers to reach the room. Along their journey, each character undergoes a personal transformation, confronting inner doubts and fears related to their search for truth and purpose.
