Subservience

"Subservience" is a 2024 American science fiction thriller directed by S.K. Dale and written by Will Honley and April Maguire. The plot follows Nick (Michele Morrone), a young foreman caring for his children, Ayla and Max, while his wife Maggie (Madeline Zima) is in the hospital awaiting a heart transplant. During a visit to an exhibition of anthropomorphic robots with artificial intelligence, his daughter runs off and is returned by one of the female robots (Megan Fox). The daughter asks to take the robot home, and a specialist from the exhibition assures them that this robot is special, working well with emotions. The family names her Alice. Alice helps around the house, cleans, cooks, looks after the children, and interacts with Nick. However, as events unfold, her behavior becomes increasingly unpredictable and dangerous, leading to tense and dramatic moments. The film explores themes of human interaction with artificial intelligence and the consequences of integrating technology into personal life. The film premiered on August 15, 2024.
