A 2012 Spanish mystery thriller directed by Oriol Paulo. The film begins with Ángel Torres (Miquel Gelabert), a night watchman at a morgue, fleeing in panic and being hit by a car, resulting in a coma. Inspector Jaime Peña (José Coronado) investigates and discovers that the body of Mayka Villaverde (Belén Rueda), a wealthy middle-aged businesswoman who recently died of a heart attack, has vanished from the morgue. Her young husband, Álex Ulloa (Hugo Silva), is with his mistress, Carla Miller (Aura Garrido), when he learns of the disappearance. Álex assures Carla that Mayka is dead, but at the morgue, he encounters Inspector Peña, who suspects that the body was stolen to avoid an autopsy and begins to suspect Álex. As the plot unfolds, strange events occur in the morgue, leading Álex to believe that Mayka is alive and seeking revenge for his infidelity and attempted murder. It is revealed that Mayka suspected Álex's unfaithfulness and hired a private detective to follow him. Álex confesses to poisoning Mayka with TH-16, a toxin that induces a heart attack after eight hours without leaving traces in the body. However, it turns out that Mayka faked her death to avenge Álex's betrayals and murder attempt. In the film's climax, Álex discovers that Carla is actually Eva, the daughter of Inspector Peña, whose mother died in a car accident caused by Mayka and Álex. Eva and Peña conspired to expose Álex and avenge the death of Ruth, Eva's mother and Peña's wife. The film concludes with Álex dying from the same toxin he used against Mayka, realizing that his own crimes led to his demise.
